Pikes Place Market in Seattle is such a fun place to visit. You could easily spend the entire day there doing a "food crawl" (where you go from restaurant to restaurant, trying food from each place) and not even try everything that gets amazing reviews online. We went there and spent the day browsing through shops, eating at different places and I took a lot of photos. While doing this, we met Hannah.
Hannah works for Chukar Cherries, a family-owned company based out of Washington. As we were walking by the Chukar Cherries booth, Hannah greeted us, asking if we wanted to try any samples of their cherries. We declined because we had eaten so much that day, but got into a fun conversation with Hannah and I asked to take her picture for my project.
Hannah had been working at Chukar Cherries for some time and even though she wasn't related to the family that owned the company, she felt very much apart of the family. I like companies that make their employees feel that way, so good job Chukar Cherries! Hannah was very bubbly, fun to talk with and we had a lot of fun joking about a city in Northern Washington (Leavenworth, WA) that had a Bavarian theme to it--I'm glad we were able to cross paths!
This portrait project has been a lot of fun so far! I have some more people to share about soon. If you have a story you'd like to share and your photo, leave a comment below! I'd love to share your life here on my blog.
