The Saga of Buying Shoes

One thing I absolutely hate to buy in South Asia is shoes. Why? Well...let's just say I am "bigfoot" here. I will say that my size is a 10/11 and people will look at my feet and then look at me like I'm crazy, and then will proceed to hand me a size 9 saying "Oh, it will fit. No problem." I will then insist that it won't work for me by showing them, and they will say, "No problem, I will get something else for you." They do...and it's still a size 9. Until asking them repeatedly, they finally reply, "Oh sorry Ma'am, we only have up to a size 9." Why didn't you tell me that in the first place?! Try doing that 5 times in a row--you'd go crazy too. So I honestly try avoiding buying shoes here at all costs.

However, for those of you who have smaller feet, you are in luck. Shoes here are beautiful! Women here love to accessorize, so you can find just about any color/design that you want. And if you know where to shop it won't be too expensive.

So I do need some shoes, but I'll wait until I go back to the States. It'll save me a lot of grief. :)
