In Sofia, Bulgaria, the city was interesting in many ways. As I've previously mentioned, there were certain parts of the city that had layer upon layer of history and different eras. This area was interesting because of the mosque (which is the only one in the city--and it's very old) and right below it (you can't quite see it in this picture) is an excavation site where they are finding even more historical things that add to the city.
I love that every culture is so different. It adds so much flavor to our world. If we were all the same, it would be so boring.
