Jason + Gloria | Tying the Knot! :)

Jason and Gloria are such a fun couple. When I first met them in a little coffee shop in Tempe, Arizona after Gloria first emailed me, I was so inspired by the love they had for each other. I think I said that about five times in our meeting, as well! I just could see it exuding out of both of them, as we talked about how they met and what they dreamed about for their wedding day.

I'm SO thankful that I was able to be there for their beautiful day. I don't think I could stop smiling that entire day! As well, I have to mention the hospitality of this couple!! I didn't feel like the wedding photographer at this wedding--I felt like I had known them for years. I left feeling like I had celebrated the wedding of close friends. Thank you Gloria and Jason for making me feel so welcome! I had so much fun. Hope you cherish these pictures forever.

Enough of my gabbing...

The ceremony was at the beautiful Danforth Chapel on ASU Campus. The reception was held at the Hackett House off Mill Avenue in Tempe.

Here's some shots! :)

The Bride is here! :)

Such a cute entrance to the reception! :) It was a happy day.

Love the simplicity and elegance of the decorations. Gloria made all of them. Such a talented woman! :)

LOVE the cake. She even made this cake topper. Beautiful!

What a fun day! :) Thanks for looking!!

Stay tuned for many more pictures of a few families!

Phoenix Is Interesting... | Random Personal Post

So, back in April, I went with some of my good friends to the Superstition Mountains. It was all very beautiful. It's crazy how diverse Arizona becomes only within a couple hours. You can get any climate you want, really. Just drive a couple hours North from Phoenix, and in Flagstaff you'll get cooler weather, beautiful trees and mountains. And of course, if you want the 'scalding' hot temperatures of 120 :) then just stay in Phoenix. :)

Anywho, I took this random picture of this plant/thing. :) ha! Do you know what it is? I sure don't.

Regardless, I thought it actually was a very pretty picture and wanted to post it.

So in regards to what's up next on my blog...I hope to post some wedding pictures from a beautiful couple that just got married this past Saturday and I have a few other events (my trip to India and the Miss Arab Pageant from last November) that I'd still like to post, even though I haven't done that yet. Whoops! Time just keeps flying. ;)

Hope you're having a great week!

Jessica + Jason | Wedding

Meet Jessica and Jason! :) I was asked by James Almanza to second shoot this lovely wedding and it was a blast. Thank you James for asking me to shoot with you.

The venue they chose was The Farm at South Mountain. It was SUCH a beatiful spot! It's a gem in the middle of desert Phoenix! I hadn't seen that much grass and trees since living in Texas! :) ha! I'm now getting used to the rock front and back yards and dust. :) Oh, and how can you forget the 100+ degree weather in May? :)

Anyways, I digress! I hope you enjoy these few shots that I got of this lovely couple. Jessica and Jason, I wish you the best! Thank you for allowing me to come on board with James and share your special day. I hope you cherish the photos we took forever.

Enough of my blabbering - here are some shots! :)

They had a super cute candy buffet all decorated up!

So I had the privlege of photographing Jason on his wedding day, while James photographed Jessica. So guys can get ready really fast I learned! :)

Jessica was so beautiful walking down the aisle! Loved her dress. The beadwork on her dress, on the right side where all the fabric gathers, it's actually from her mother's dress. It was a beautiful touch, I think.

You can tell Jason is so happy here! :)

Ring shots! Fun fun fun! :)

They had a 'cupcake' cake. It was very tasty, too! :)

Thanks for looking!

{the Grand Canyon trip} | Part 3

And these are the last pictures from our trip. :)

We crossed many creeks on our way to the next campsite. It was fun hopping on rocks. :)

On our way to Indian Garden still...

So when we got to Indian Gardens we had a little bit more of daylight left, so we decided to go to Plateau Point, especially since the next day we wouldn't be able to. And I'm SO glad we chose to go, even though we were exhausted from the day (the 4.7 miles we hiked up from the Bright Angel Campground to the Indian Gardens). It was so, so beautiful. :)

This is one of my favorite pictures. It is just so beautiful - God is so good!

And this is Plateau Point. I wish I had a way of showing everything I saw at that moment. It was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Too bad we got there so late. The sun was almost set; I was lucky to get these pictures.

So we departed from the large group and got back into our smaller group of five and headed back up the Bright Angel Trail to the top of the South Rim. The other group had plans to stay another day.

Our last group shot until we got to the top!

Bye friends we just met! :) hehe

Hello beautiful!

So see those trails? Especially the ones on the right? We just went up them. I was so, so tired.

This is a switchback, in case you didn't know. I didn't know until I got there what it was. And now it's forever etched in my mind. :) Switchbacks while hiking = pain.

See how muddy it was? Craziness!

So, see that last set of switchbacks at the top mid-center of the picture? This was pretty much the last stretch before making it to the top.

And this is from the top!

We made it! YAY!

And here we are! WE DID IT! :) YAY! It was such a wonderful feeling. :) And our celebratory meal was at Olive Garden. We practically spoke about it all the way up. :) hehe And the meal was glorious, too.

WE DID IT!! We were so excited. :) And some of us glad, that we were finished, even though it was such an amazing experience. I am so thankful that Rene invited us to go along with her. What a fun time. And a blessing!

These are our lovely shoes. :) See how they are all muddy. :) Josh is the muddiest! ha! :)

So, if you haven't made it to the Grand Canyon yet...you need to go now. :) Or at least sometime before you die.
