The Lucks Family | Family Portrait

It was a cool, yet sunny afternoon; the week after Christmas. The decorations around were perfect at Old Town Sping, in Spring Texas, as it was still filled with Christmas lights, garland and red candy canes. The Lucks and I decided to meet here to do their family portrait. It had been two years since we actually first made contact and we finally nailed down a date while I was in Houston for Christmas.

We had so much fun, walking around and stopping when something caught our eyes for a good photo op. The smiles of this family are contagious. Even while I was editing I couldn't stop smiling. The beauty of this family just radiates from these photos!

Check them out below! :)

Love the color pop in these! :) Beautiful!

Such a beautiful family! So glad that I was able to meet them finally! :)

Thanks for taking a peek!

Ortiz Family | Family Portrait

I had the pleasure of being with the Ortiz family on my trip to Houston, Texas in December. It was such a blast to see them again. I had actually previously done their family pictures two years ago. It's crazy to see how much their kids had grown! I almost didn't recognize them!! Their previous portrait is here if you want to see it. :)

So I was very excited whenever Beth contacted me back in October, asking if they could schedule a portrait. It happened perfectly that we could do it when I was there--so glad that we were able to arrange that! This family is fun to be around. They laugh a lot and you can really tell they have fun together. I hope that people leave my family, seeing love, laughter and kindness as well. :)

The venue for our pictures was Rice University. Such an incredible university with so many archways, beautiful brick buildings and other things that make photographer's giddy! I know I was very excited shooting this family there.

Anyways, here's the photos!

LOVE this lens glare. The sun and lighting was SO wonderful on this day! :) You guys are so beautiful.

Can't be with this family and not get a goofy picture! :)

Love, love, LOVE these doors. :)

These gals are so adorable and beautiful. I count it a joy to know you both!

Love the expressions on the right. :)

Love this wall, too! The lines are great!

These last two are my FAVORITES! I love the colors, the layouts, the lines--everything!! You guys are so awesome!

Thanks for looking!! Leave a comment below! :) I'd LOVE to hear from you!

Be looking for another family portrait here soon! :)

Francisco Family | Family Portrait

Meet the Francisco's! I met this fun family two years ago on a trip to Arizona. They were in another city when we initially moved to Arizona, but now live only a few doors down from us and it is so great! I enjoy being around them so much. Their hospitality is awesome (I have so much to learn) and their hearts for God is even greater. They encourage me daily and I'm so thankful that they are near and we've gotten to know them.

We decided to go to Tempe Town Lake; which is a really cool area in Tempe. I've been there a few times. In fact, I think I've done three portraits at this location now! :)

Just a side note...some of Noah's facial expressions are priceless. Make sure you look at them. You'll at least smile. :)

Family squeeze! :)

I love this picture. So cute - Love that Noah is hugging Anaiah willingly, too! :)

LOVE the picture of Danielle on the right. That is probably my favorite of this shoot! :)

Love you guys!

Thanks for taking a look! Leave some comments below! :)

The Leopold Family | Family Portrait

Meet the Leopolds - such a cute family! :) We met here in Arizona to go through the same internship and it has been such a blast getting to know them during this time. Ashley asked me to do their family pictures and I was thrilled at the idea. In general I love to hang out with this family, so adding photography to the mix makes things perfect. :)

We headed over to Tempe Beach Lake to a more grassy area where some buildings are at. It gave the portrait a very different look that I liked much.

Ashley you are GORGEOUS! :)

Love this picture of Zac! Looks like a stud here. :)

Favorite from the shoot! I love this picture of Psalm!! :)

It's a Psalmy sandwich! :) hehe

Zac can really throw up Psalm high. :) I was surprised by the air that she got!

Psalm was very tired at the end of our time.

Thanks for looking - would love to hear your comments!

The Moore Family | Family Portrait :)

When I'm with the Moore family, I'm guaranteed to have a good time. :) Mostly because they have three boys and that is pretty much a recipe for craziness. :) During this shoot, they were running around like crazy people, and I said to Jen, "I wish I had half the energy they have!" And she said to me, "I wish they had half the energy they have!" hehe :) Yes, kids have tons of energy!

And photographing families is FUN! I love it! This portrait was nothing short of fun. We had such a great time. We went to Tempe Beach Park and played around a bit. I had only been to this park once before and I think it's an excellent location for pictures!!! When they suggested it I was totally up for it. :)

All of their kids have very different personalities - it's fun to see in the pictures! Enjoy them!

So in the beginning of a portrait, I will typically pose people just to warm up to the camera and then they'll get comfortable and have fun and I'll get candid shots. Well, I didn't even pose this next one. I told Jen and Rob to sit down and the two kids on the right plopped down and the other on the left. I was almost speechless that they sat themselves down that way!! So this next shot, while it is nice, I typically don't do really 'posey' (posed + cheesey) shots. :) I do like how this one did turn out though! :) Great thinking kiddo's!

Yay for jumping shots! :)

So I was trying to get the kids to lighten up a bit and told them to jump off of this ledge. I think they took this jumping seriously...so, look at the child (Noah) in the middle...he's SO intense!!! haha! :)

Had a great time Moore family! :)
