Archive Photo of the Week | Archive Photos

This archive photo is a 'blast from the past' photo. So, I've only been doing photography since October of 2008 (first maternity portrait) and God has surely blessed it! I have enjoyed every minute of it.

So, what I decided to do, was post a picture from my first two shoots!

It's interesting to look at where I started and where I'm at now. It's crazy to me to think that I have grown so much in one year, and really, 2009 is when it all started for me. October 2008 is when I did my first shoot, and then starting in January, it just exploded thanks to my friend Samantha. She is such an encourager and great friend. I appreciate you!

So the first shoot I ever did was Samantha's maternity pictures:

And the second shoot I ever did was Nathan's business pictures:

Fun times. It's good to remember where you came from and why you started in the first place. I know I just absolutely love photography and love people. Mix the two and you have the perfect job. :)

Have a great Wednesday!

Archive Photo of the Week | Archive Photos

So this archive photo of the week is something I absolutely love to do.

CrossFit.

If you've never heard of CrossFit then you're missing out! Some people would probably disagree with me, especially since you're sore a lot and some of the workouts make you want to die...but that's besides the point! :) (I am kidding about the workouts making you want to die) It is great.

We first were introduced to a CrossFit gym (or affiliate) when we went to CrossFit Plano in Texas. After going a few times we were hooked. I think what I enjoyed the most about CrossFit Plano specifically was the people. There is such a strong emphasis on community within the gym and I really miss the people there that I worked out with. As well, CrossFit Plano incorporates other things at their gym that other affiliates don't (like Z-Health), which made it extra special to us. (Troy I so gave your gym a plug and I don't even live there anymore!!)

There are several CF affiliates near us, in fact there is one called CrossFit Southwest that isn't too far from our home (I think 5 miles?). We haven't had the chance to go there yet, but have been working out at parks and at the gym in our complex with our makeshift equipment. It works for now.

The archive photo of the week is during the Murph Challenge (which prescribed is: 1 Mile Run, 100 Pull Ups, 200 Push Ups, 300 Squats and finish up with another 1 mile run). These people running are just starting the challenge.

I hope that you have a great Wednesday (Is it really Wednesday?! I surprised myself when I said that!)

Archive Photo of the Week | Archive Photos

So I am trying to get in the habit of blogging every day (if you haven't noticed) and I'm going to start on the middle day of the week (Wednesdays) posting a photo from my archives. I have so many photos I've never posted online that are so fun.

So this is just not one archive photo, but a few. About 2 years ago, my parents, Josh and I went on a trip to Disney World! Yay! :) If you've been to Disney World before you know it's loads of fun. This was Josh's first visit and I'd say he was pretty stoked about going. We had tons of fun on our trip. I never was able to post any of my Disney pictures online, which is such a sad day, but, here are a few from our trip.

This ride, I think, is one of my favorites at Magic Kingdom. It's called "Thunder Mountain Railroad". My parents and sister were sitting infront of us. It's considered to be a "roller coaster" but is still quite calm in comparison to other roller coasters I've been on!

And then there's Wendy from Peter Pan! I just happened to get her right as she waved. And then there is the crazy ride (that will seriously surprise you) called, "Expedition Everest." It's an expedition alright! It was a lot of fun to ride.

If you've never been to Disney, you should go - especially if you have kids! It's such a magical place for kids. I remember going as a kid and loving every minute of it. It was something my sisters and I looked forward to.

Enjoy your Wednesday!
