Well hello there!
It has been a while since I've posted my photo of the day--about a month to be exact! Traveling took it's toll on my time, but I've finally settled back into a routine (that will soon be disturbed again, unfortunately!). I will be traveling again soon, but this time back to the State's! I am SO excited! It's been two years since I've seen my family and friends. :)
So, with all the traveling I've done, I have lots of pictures to share. Here's the first one!
We recently went on a tour with our department to the older part of the city and it was very fascinating! Before starting, I took this picture of a man arranging his peanuts, beans, corn, etc. This is actually pretty common. What I really like is to buy them from a man that has a cooking pot. This cooking pot is extremely hot and filled with sand and salt. They throw whatever you've chosen into the pot, cook it a bit, and then strain it out into a small paper bag for a nice snack. It's really tasty! :)
