Believe it or not, our time in Thailand is coming to a close! Tomorrow we'll actually leave and head to a few other places before heading home to the State's, so the trip is not over yet.
This week, I decided to show a little bit of culture. Here, many of the people are Buddhists. It's interesting to watch them in the activities they participate in. While we were walking around, we came across these people meditating/praying on their knees.
This is a common sight here - you will often see statues and shrines around the city, where people pay their respects by bringing flowers, candles lit, food and drink as an offering.
The picture above is from another temple we went to called the "Wat Pho" Temple. It hosts the largest reclining Buddha - and it's really true. The Buddha took up the entire temple. The architecture on these temples are astounding. I took WAY too many photos. :)
